Greek contemporary artist Yiannis Fokas
Born in 1951, Giannitsa,
Greece.
He studied Painting (1973-1978) at the Athens School of Fine Arts (Prof. I.Moralis - Prof. D.Kokkinidis) and continued his studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris (Prof. J.Lagrange).
Since 1995 he was a Professor at the School of Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, President of the Department of Visual and Applied Arts and from 2018 an Emeritus Professor.
Fokas' work has been shown in galleries, museums, and cultural institutions worldwide and is part of numerous private and public collections.
